Periodic Table of the Elements

This Periodic Table of the Elements has been designed as flash tiles to overlay on the official 2016 IUPAC version (available from https://iupac.org/what-we-do/periodic-table-of-elements/). Another accurate version is available at Wikipedia (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Science_education#/media/File:Periodic_table_large.svg). This "thing" serves as a studying aid for all students of science in general and of chemistry in particular. The complete list of elements from 1 Hydrogen to 118 Oganesson are now named for the very first time. For our own copy, we laser engraved a stretched version of the IUPAC Periodic Table of the Elements on a bamboo cutting board using an Epilog Helix Laser Cutter. We then 3D printed each type of elements in a different colour with filaments from a different leading manufacturer as follows: Alkali Metals - Red - MakerBot True Red PLA Alkaline Metals - Orange - ESUN Orange PLA Other Metals - Light Green - Polymaker LulzBot Green PLA Transition Metals - Yellow - BotFeeder Macaron Yellow PLA Lanthanoids - Light Purple - ColorFabb Lila PLA/PHA Actinoids - Hot Pink - Materio3D Fuchsia Pink PLA Metalloids - Light Blue - FormFutura Light Blue PLA Nonmetals - Blue - Printrbot Translucent Blue PLA Halogens - Brown - Proto-Pasta Aromatic Rose HTPLA Noble Gases - Dark Purple - BEEVERYCREATIVE BEESUPPLIES Violet PLA We used both MakerBot and LulzBot 3D printers for this project. Enjoy learning all about what our Universe is made out of!
