Perpetual Calendar

Perpetual Calendar

thingiverse

This is a calendar that you can reuse over and over again. Each month, just pop out the tiles and set them in place for the new month. You should mount this in a frame or something with an incline, as nothing but gravity keeps the tiles from coming out while it's in use. Instructions The original design was done in Inkscape, and I exported to PDF for import into Corel Draw for the laser cutter as that keeps the dimensions better than CD's SVG import. To get the updated version, I cut a back from the same piece of acrylic to match the size of the front piece, then used acrylic cement to adhere the two parts together. I then used a Sharpie to fill in the etched day-of-week letters, then fine sandpaper to remove the sharpie on the top surface and give the whole acrylic a frosted look.
