- Twelve foot tall drop tower model that simulates the dynamic experiences riders would feel on a current ride system within industry - MATLAB 1-D dynamic particle model used to simulate the drop and magnetic braking to later be compared with testing methods where the goal is to match ASTM F24 Eyes Down (+Gz) & Eyes Up (-Gz) duration limitations - Control system to be powered by Arduino Environment, Allen Bradley 800T Push Button / Switch Array, and various sensors to replicate the control systems used in industry - Initial dynamic fatigue analysis on carriage shaft screws shows lifetime will surpass infinite life when compared to S-N fatigue curves (Approximated Using AISI 4043 Steel for Alloy Steel) - Deflection analysis was then used to verify pulley and transmission shafts were within recommended Shigley design regimes
