Pet Water Fountain Spill Prevention

Our cat water fountain is replaced with a new one. This model fountain is sold with a lot different brand names, but you will recognize it if you have one, it is definitely not same as the Cat-It fountain, it is up to you if you want to try on a Cat-It fountain. One of our cats plays with the fountain and spills a lot water on the floor, this water fountain was even in the middle of the living room after one day and there was water all over the place. First I made a wall mount so the fountain slides in to it, that worked great but than she (the cat) start to pull out stainless steel part of the fountain, to prevent that I made a top ring to secure the stainless steel plate, now she cant spill the water anymore. The holder is printed with PLA and 25% infill to keep the opening flexible but still strong enough to keep the fountain where it should stay. Top ring is also printed with PLA, infill is not needed since it is thin, just keep the perimeters high enough to make it solid print, it is tuned to my printer (4Max) but if your print is too large or too small print it with another scale, it should be a tight fit. Holes on this print model are needed to let the pump work, otherwise it will create vacuum in the fountain reservoir.
