Petrified Wood Display at Johnston Geology Museum at Emporia State University. Label says: The specimens in this exhibit are part of the Melvin Lightcap rock collection. Mr. Lightcap taught science in Leavenworth for many years, and he is an avid rock collector. In 1986 he donated his collection, which consists of 25 tons of rocks mostly from the western United States, to ESU.
