Each of these kits includes combined ships and ship parts STL files, along with blender source files used to create them. Ship files should be ready to print. Part files are provided so you can import into your 3d modelling software of choice to combine and modify to easily create your own ship designs. All parts are meant to be cross-compatible between kits. Included Ships -------------- **Phase II Constitution class** /https://files.cults3d.com/uploaders/22710918/illustration-file/65b2c1dd-1a0a-4ee7-a55c-419e7e01da15/_preview-phase2-connie.png) This is the updated design of the classic USS Enterprise, as designed for the Phase II TV show that was cancelled in favor of what became Star Trek: The Motion Picture. Although some components may look very similar to either the TOS or TMP ship, the parts in this kit are entirely new. /https://files.cults3d.com/uploaders/22710918/illustration-file/216d70fa-ee2a-4b4b-82fc-d993c3f85cc5/_preview-phase2-torpedo-variant.png) **Endeavor class** /https://files.cults3d.com/uploaders/22710918/illustration-file/b32f6de9-2689-4bd8-bcc9-ee2a20211f4e/_preview-phase2-endeavor.png) The Endeavor is another upgrade of the TOS era constitution class originally found in the Mastercom Data Center fan books created by Adrias Sofia and Thomas Guenther. This design is notable for its unique warp nacelle design which were later popularized by [Neale “Vance” Davidson’s 2d toolkits](https://www.deviantart.com/larry03052/art/CanisD-and-Vance-Toolkits-705170781), which serve as the inspiration for my own “parts kit” approach. **Phase II Constitution class with Mastercom style nacelles** /https://files.cults3d.com/uploaders/22710918/illustration-file/76b13b0f-af31-4f01-9ba1-39d06787816d/_preview-phase2-connie-mastercom.png) This variant simply replaces the Phase II nacelles with those form the Endeavor class. **TOS Constitution class with minor updates** /https://files.cults3d.com/uploaders/22710918/illustration-file/11e60583-d70f-47d0-98a7-a11523db1ace/_preview-phase2-TOS-upgrade.png) This variant uses the standard TOS version saucer, neck, and engineering hull, simply replacing the nacelles, sensor dish and torpedo tube. **Phase II Saladin class** /https://files.cults3d.com/uploaders/22710918/illustration-file/4582dbd8-a533-492d-bed6-b718e274fb55/_preview-phase2-saladin.png) This is an upgrade of the Saladin class destroyer/Hermes class scout from the [Franz Joseph Star Fleet Technical Manual](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Star_Trek_Star_Fleet_Technical_Manual), using Phase II components. **Phase II Ptolemy class** /https://files.cults3d.com/uploaders/22710918/illustration-file/bbb0ede1-3072-4b89-95f9-e60e4a005a50/_preview-phase2-ptolomy.png) This is an upgrade of the Franz Joseph Ptolemy class transport, again using Phase II components. **Monoceres Mk 1** /https://files.cults3d.com/uploaders/22710918/illustration-file/cbd5d2dd-bdde-4b98-83ce-774919ab25d3/_preview-phase2-monoceros-mk1.png) The Monoceres is another Mastercom design, essentially a Saladin with the Mastercom style warp nacelle. **Monoceres Mk 2** /https://files.cults3d.com/uploaders/22710918/illustration-file/a8dd19d9-8af4-4a4b-b5cd-99b919a212a5/_preview-phase2-monoceros-mk2.png) The MK 2 Monoceres replaces the single nacelle with two top mounted versions. Zip Files --------- Combined ship files are included in this project individually. Notes on scaling and working with Blender ----------------------------------------- My target scale for all source files and output STL files is 1:1000, However, I generally recommend 1:2500 or smaller given the detail level of the model. Although these files have not been extensively tested through printing, they are intended to be resized to match common modelling and miniatures scales. There are many fine video and text tutorials available online if you're interested in learning more. For a basic tutorial on moving and joining objects in Blender(which should be the minimum you need to know when working with these parts), see [this instructables tutorial](https://www.instructables.com/id/How-to-Use-Blender-271-Basics/). You can use File -\> Import -\> Stl (.stl) and File -\> Export -\> Stl (.stl) to load or save STL files in blender. **Note:** These kits were built using Blender 2.9. ### Post-processing STL output Although all of the STL files included have been tested as valid watertight meshes, joining the parts together and exporting new STL files can introduce small errors that may cause issues with slicing programs. I recommend any STL files you create are checked using a program like [Netfabb Basic free edition](https://github.com/3DprintFIT/netfabb-basic-download/releases/tag/v7.4.0). Doing a simple "Close All Holes" repair has fixed most of the issues I've run into so far. If you do run into issues with mesh quality, please let me know.
