This was one of the designs I entered into the Printed Solid 100 Spool Giveaway contest featured on Chris' Basement. The design was one of several I sent for the contest. You will to print the parts. I used 1/2 inch screws to secure the two halves together and then a 500 mm x 5 mm diameter rod. I heated up the rod in my oven at 500 degrees F for about 20 minutes. Then carefully using hot pad mittens inserted it into the center hole. I suggest using a spool with many holes (the one I used has a sort of fan fin design).
