Phenanthrene, a three-ringed polyaromatic hydrocarbon (PAH), is found both in interstellar space and diesel exhaust. It serves as a ligand in chemistry, typically bound to a central metal atom. Structurally designed in Sketchup, the stl file was printed by a Cupcake CNC (Makerbot) within 18 minutes. Interestingly, this hexagonal base also suits many other PAHs' structures.
