The Phoenix is a sculpture made by Ossip Zadkine in 1944 and is now in the Middelheim Open Air Sculpture Museum in Antwerp. It is made out of bronze and represents a phoenix. Like many works by Zadkine, this statue is made of bronze. The surface of the sculpture is irregular and smooth. It is very likely to be polished, but the natural nature of the material used can be seen. The statue is gray, green and black. It is not polychromed (= colored). It is today almost hidden between the bushes in the Middelheim Open Air Sculpture Museum.    This object is part of "Scan The World". Scan the World is a non-profit initiative introduced by MyMiniFactory, through which we are creating a digital archive of fully 3D printable sculptures, artworks and landmarks from across the globe for the public to access for free. Scan the World is an open source, community effort, if you have interesting items around you and would like to contribute, email stw@myminifactory.com to find out how you can help.
