This modified e-NABLE Phoenix Hand v2 gives individual finger dexterity to those with limb differences and allows the fingernails to be changed in and out as desired. The modified tensioning system was re-designed using the existing geometry of the Phoenix Hand. The tensioner is made up of 7 parts in total: 1 Slotted Tensioner, 5 Tensioning Spools, and 1 tensioning bar. The tensioner is designed to have the double spool ride along the slot to allow effective tensioning and loosening of the strings that control the spools. Each individual spool is connected to a corresponding finger and can be adapted to either a left or right E-Nable Phoenix Hand prosthetic. The tensioning spools, as shown in the pictures above, are connected to the individual finger's strings, which wrap around the spools to tension or loosen the fingers grip, leading to more dexterity of the prosthetic.
