Phone Battery Droid Caller

Phone Battery Droid Caller

thingiverse

This is an approximation of the Kobold flash unit based droid caller see in Star Wars. This one is simplified a bit for ease of printing, and designed to hold the phone batteries they sell at the Disney World theme parks. Put this on your belt. Put the fuel rod in it. Plug your phone in, and you have an in universe looking way to charge your data pad. Perfect for those Galactic Star Cruises!! I haven't printed this yet, hence the WIP. A few of the parts have small alignment holes. You can use scraps of filament to help line up the parts correctly. Cut a 5mm or so piece of 1.75mm filament and put it in the holes to make sure the parts are where they should be. Update: 8 March 2022: Fixed some scaling issues with the model (too tall). Update: 11 March 2022: * I added some additional bits that are optimized for SLA printing. The various buttons with the "sla" label can be used in place of the original ones, which are simplified for FDM printing. * I also added a file to use in the middle in place of a fuel rod. This is a drop in placeholder to make it more like a "real" droid caller.
