[Note: For whatever reason, Thingiverse is giving a 404 error when clicking "Download All Files." Thankfully, you don't need all the files. Just click the "Thing Files" tab instead, and then download the individual file sized to your phone and case. Read further down for details on that.] This is a smartphone holder designed specifically for the NG (new generation) Saab 9-3, pre-interior-facelift. That's 2004, 2005, and 2006 for the convertible, plus 2003 for the sedan. The phone slides in on its side, from the top of the holder down, and there are holes on either side for power and/or aux cables. It fits over the ICM2 head unit (pictured), and I can't see any reason why it wouldn't work with the ICM1 unit as well. It might not be a perfect fit with the larger-screen ICM3 unit, but then if you're lucky enough to have one of those, you probably don't want to cover it up anyway. I designed this for my left-hand-drive 9-3. If you have a right-hand-drive 9-3, you'll need to mirror the STL file before printing it, as the prongs on either side are not the same size. Hopefully that will work, but I have no way to test it to be sure. Let me know what happens if you try it. To accommodate most phones, I've included STL files for a wide range of sizes. You'll need to measure your phone (including the case if applicable), and then select the STL closest to your phone's size, rounding up. Use a digital caliper if possible for best accuracy. Measure the phone's height (longest dimension) and its thickness (shortest dimension). The filenames follow the format "phone-holder-###-##.stl" with the first (three-digit) number being the available space for the phone's height, and the second (two-digit) number being the available space for the phone's thickness, both in millimeters. Sizes are available from 140 to 176 in 2mm increments for the height, and from 08 to 14 in 1mm increments for the thickness. Unfortunately Thingiverse doesn't maintain alphanumeric sorting for these files, so I'd advise using your browser's "find" feature to locate the correct one, unless you just want to download them all. You'll need to print this in a stiff TPU with supports (see "Print Settings" for more details). Once printed and finished, press the two prongs firmly into the air-vent-holes as pictured. While this is removable with effort, it is designed to stay in place, and I would not advise putting it in and out more than necessary. For smaller phones, sized from 140 to 150 in height, the prongs are closer together, and they fit into the air-vent spaces directly inward from where they go for larger phones. I've also included two STEP files, one each as a representative for the larger and smaller phone sizes. Feel free to use them to modify according to your specific needs, and let me know what you come up with! I'm releasing this design as Creative Commons - Attribution - Non-Commercial - Share Alike. Basically, I want it to be free, and I don't want anyone selling these for profit. If, however, you want to print and distribute these as a service to the Saab community, for a small, reasonable fee that merely covers your labor, expenses, and shipping, reach out to me, and we'll work something out. And as always, while it's completely optional, if you do enjoy this design and want to say thanks, feel free to tip me a coffee! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BIWToCLEh54
