Phone Mount with Ball Joint

Phone Mount with Ball Joint

thingiverse

This is a phone mount for, well, anything that has a ball joint and any mount can take balls (talking about the socket, dude). I picked up a simple bike mount for a Go-Pro camera at the store and realized I could just pop the screw platform out and use the socket mount for anything. All I needed to do was measure and model the ball and then attach whatever to it. Likewise, many mounts on the market use a ball-socket and this should work for them. The ball has a diameter of 15-15.5mm and can be easily shrunk or expanded in your CAD of choice (or with a nice-worded request, I could do it). I have added an alternate backing if the diagonal slats aren't preferred. Both provide rigidity, weight reduction, and aesthetic appeal (or at least I think so) while reducing the amount of filament required for the print.
