Photosphere Tripod Mount for iPhone 6

Photosphere Tripod Mount for iPhone 6

thingiverse

This mounts an iPhone 6 to a tripod to make it easier to take 360 degree panoramas/photospheres using apps such as Google Streetview. The 360 degree views can then be shared on sites such as Facebook. With this mount, the iPhone 6's camera is kept in the same place as it is tilted using this mount, or panned using the tripod. This minimizes distortion/discontinuities in the 360 degree panorama. Print Settings Rafts: No Resolution: 0.3mm layer height Infill: 50% or higher on sides, 20% on everything else Notes: The sides require supports. Everything else should be printed without supports. Post-Printing Purchase some 1/4-20 hex nuts (they should fit on your tripod). Print two sides, one base, one plug, and one of the phone holders. "Phone Holder 4mm Foam" leaves room for some foam (e.g. weatherstripping) on both sides of the phone. This keeps the phone snug. If you don't have any foam, print "Phone Holder No Foam" instead. Assemble as shown below (the gray block represents the tripod). Insert the sides into the holes in the phone holder, then superglue the sides to the base. Superglue the hex nut and plug to the base. After letting the glue dry, attach the mount to a tripod and insert the iPhone 6 upside down into the mount. This orientation keeps the camera in the same place as the phone is tilted.
