# Pi Zero + Buck Power Supply Case ## For Octoprint or other hobby purposes This is a remix of @DotNetWorker's excellent [Raspberry Pi Zero case](https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1167846). I've added another case below it to house a LM2596S buck converter. The two fit together without screws through a clever elliptical fitting. You can choose any of the lid designs from @DotNetWorker's original. Powering a Raspberry Pi can be frustrating and the buck converter eliminates that hassle. The Pi and the buck converter are each housed independently, and the two cases clip together, so you don't need to, for example, remove the pi from its case to get at the LM2596S. The buck converter provides 5V power by converting the higher DC voltage (24V from an Ender) from your 3D printer's power supply to the 5V that the Pi needs. There are mounting holes on the bottom to fit into T-Nuts in an Ender V-Slot. For Octoprint, you'll want a Raspberry Pi Zero **2 W**
