My take on a, somewhat, minimal pi zero w camera case. Allows accessing the GPIO headers, has recesses for optional magnets for mounting to metal studs, refrigerators, etc... As well as recesses for M3 nuts you can use to secure custom made brackets. Links to parts needed are affiliate links if you feel like supporting my work.

Step files are attached if you'd like to make edits or custom brackets to mount the case.

Parts Needed

I used this assortment which has all you need below and more for future projects

4 - M2x4 (for camera)

4 - M2x8 (for pi zero)

4 - M3x16 (for case back to case front)

(Optional) - 0 - 6 M3 Hex nuts for custom bracket mounting

Also bought a magnet assortment here

(Optional) - 12x3mm neodymium magnets

5 min Epoxy or some Super Glue - I highly recommend the epoxy but the super glue is decent as well
Of coarse you need these if you don't already have them:

Pi Zero W

Pi Camera V2

Pi Zero Camera Cable 150mm length

Micro SD Card

Print instructions

Category: Gadgets Print Settings

Printer Brand: Prusa

Printer: i3 MK3

Rafts: No

Supports: No

Resolution: .2

Infill: 20%

Filament: Zi-Rui PLA Marble
Notes:

This filament is pretty great if you like the look

I printed with a .6mm nozzle at .2mm layer height and it took about 2 hours, should print fine with a .4mm nozzle as well.

Post-Printing

Assembly

Epoxy or super glue the magnets and/or hex nuts in place (just use a little on the hex nuts and watch the threads), wait 5 - 10 minutes to dry

With the cable attached to camera, secure to case front using M2x4 bolts

Secure the Pi Zero above the camera using M2x8 bolts

Place back of case on top of front, secure with M3x16 bolts

Mount however you wish
Software

You can use any raspberry pi compatible software/OS you wish, however I highly recommend taking a look at Motion Eye OS for an easy feature rich camera experience
