You can use [M2.5x28mm hex socket screws](https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01MXFB7A3) to hold the case together though friction alone might be sufficient for your needs. The case gives you access to all the external connectors and includes internal posts to stiffen the case and avoid vertical stress from squeezing the hat to far into the Pi Zero.
