A damped, self-leveling suspension system for kite aerial photography. A new version (II/12/2015) allows the attached camera rig to lock in any of 16 positions of rotation (pan). . Published under CERN OHL. Learn more at the KAPtery where you can buy the hardware needed to rig up a Picavet cross for flying. Instructions Two versions of this model are available. One must be printed with support under the “star.” The other has support structures incorporated into the model and prints well when sliced with MakerWare. When sliced with Simplify 3D, those support structures are ignored so support must be added manually (automatic support is too hard to remove). . The KAPtery has detailed instructions for printing and assembly and you can order hardware for assembling the rig. Learn about grassroots mapping at Public Lab. Files updated III/08/2015.
