A Picavet is the preferred way of dangling a camera from a kite string. This one is designed to hold a small torch shaped video camera. The Picavet cross itself will hold the camera pointing vertically down. This is OK, but produces rather boring films. The fork and legs can be added, to enable the camera to be pointed in any direction. Instructions Drill holes, 3 to 3,5 mm as near to the Center of Gravity as you can. I fixed the forks to the legs with a rivet on one side (2 x 3mm washers and about 10mm of filament. Melt the ends over with a soldering iron. The other side has a 3mm machine screw and nut. So I could loosen and tighten the nut in the field, I glued the wingnut to the nut. I'll add a bit of raw film here, as soon as i get a round toit. You need about 4 meters of string to thread the picavet. For more details about see http://www.kaper.us/basics/BASICS_picavet.html
