ABOUT 'PICCHIO' ---------- 'Picchio' is a computer gadget that repeats keystrokes, like a woodpecker hitting the keyboard. You can use it to automate tasks, or simply in the case if you don't want your colleagues now that you're away from the PC, as report by many collaboration tools, for instance through Microsoft Teams status. The system consists of an Arduino Leonardo board, a simple program, a container for the board printed in 3D and very discreet (similar to an external HD that can also be used in the office without arousing suspicion), the USB connection cable. The project was born from the need to automate the repeated pressing of the 'Carriage Return' button with repetition every second. The repeat rate and key or key sequence is customizable by changing the program. HOW TO USE ------------------- Simply connect with a USB cable Picchio to your PC and after 5 seconds Picchio will start sending virtual keystrokes, no software needed. To stop it disconnect the cable. ALTERNATIVES ---------------------- If you are no experience with compiling a loading a program on an Arduino board, you can evaluate one of the following alternatives: - Software scripts, e.g. using [Pyhton][1] - Mechanical solutions such as [Automatic Keyboard Presser][2] or [Finger Bot][3] [1]: https://towardsdatascience.com/how-to-easily-automate-your-keyboard-to-do-tasks-in-python-b698e98a5c40 "Python" [2]: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3952067 "Automatic Key Presser" [3]: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/adaprox/fingerbot-plus "Finger Bot"
