Piccolo Trombone

Piccolo Trombone

thingiverse

As a trombone player myself I thought it would be cool to play a piccolo trombone. After realizing both they are expensive (for me) and that I could deign/print one I started working. In the end there are 5 parts. The Bell Curve which connects to the Main bell and makes it easier to print the whole bell. Then there are the two slides, one that should slide into the other and would change the notes. Finally there is the mouthpiece which fits in the longer section of the inner slide. Conveniently the mouthpiece is the same as a trumpet mouthpiece so if you happen to have a trumpet it would work with it (surprisingly well). Keep in mind this design isn't perfect regarding offsets and tolerances to make certain parts fit snug and other fit looser. That means the mouthpiece might crack the plastic if inserted to hard and the slides might not fit at first so sanding might be necessary.
