Hello, I was interested in making kombucha, but didn't want to bother with cheese cloth and a rubber band. I found this pickle jar lid, and added a large hole to the center. The hole allows for a coffee filter to be used in place of other alternatives. Simply put the coffee filter over your pickle jar, and screw the lid down over top. The lid turns easily.
