I designed this picture hanger to work with 3"x3" grid wall for our setup for art shows. I also designed it to be used mostly with the Ambiance Aluminum Frames (https://www.jerrysartarama.com/framing/ready-made-frames/ambiance-gallery-aluminum-frames) that have a slightly recessed hanging hook, But it works well for hanging canvas with wires.
