PiGRRL 2 Enhanced Buttons (ABXY/Action, D-Pad)

Print colorful buttons for your PiGRRL 2! Rebuilt from scratch to the original dimensions from the fantastic PiGRRL 2 by Adafruit! Individual lettered buttons are keyed so they don't spin, with a matching female key in the alignment plate. Unkeyed versions are available as well, if you are just printing colored buttons without text, or don't care about buttons turning. Tolerances are exact, so depending on your material(s) you may need to sand or shave off a tiny bit of material to achieve a tight press fit, particularly if using different materials (e.g. TPE for the buttons and PLA for the alignment plate). All files have been run through NetFabb Cloud to ensure validity. Printability may be a different matter, especially if you use TPE or TPE filament. UPDATE 20160226: Half depth variants of the lettered buttons added (0.25mm deep instead of 0.5mm), just in case more deeply embossed letters prove difficult to print or catch too much crud in day-to-day use. Print Settings Printer: Printrbot Play Rafts: Doesn't Matter Supports: No Resolution: 50 micron Infill: 100% Notes: I suggest minimal layer heights (~50 micron; 0.05556 mm Layer Height in Cura for the Printrbot Play), 100% infill, and slow printing (~25mm/s). Use a 0.2mm nozzle if you have it. The level of detail is such that it is likely best to print the text/arrow buttons using Laser Sintering rather than Fused Filament Deposition. How I Designed This Originally I just wanted colored buttons, so I measured the button dimensions and recreated them in Tinkercad. I added a little rim to the bottom of the blank button, and then lined up the 4 buttons with the original 4-button action pad STL (the X and Y spacing are not equal). Then I thought - what about letters? I embossed some letters, and ended up with the Unkeyed variant buttons. I then realized that even though they were intended to be a tight press fit, the buttons might rotate, and so I created the Keyed variants. Finally, I figured that while I was add it, I might as well dress up the D-Pad a bit. The sharp arrow variant was created first, but I realized that the sharp interior corners might not print well, so I created the soft variant as well. I ran everything though Microsoft's Model Repair Service - NetFabb cloud. And I uploaded everything here!
