This is an insert that for a normal prescription pill container that lets you carry two different types of pills in one container. Is it food safe? The official answer is "it depends". PLA is ["generally recognized as safe"](http://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/027869159400145E) for contact with food, but there could be other contaminants. Personally, I can't see how any contaminents from my set up could possibly result in enough exposure to worry about, but I can't speak for any other setup.
