Inspired by thing:4090166 But rebuilt from scratch in OpenScad so it can be tweaked by others and made to fit any lens. This is a Pimax8K prescription lens holder. It works with lenses from a pair of Specsavers StarWars frames from a few years ago that I had spare. But you can make it work with any set of full frame glasses. The frame shape is defined by a path in Open SCAD, so it's fairly easy to make this work with any lens shape. Use some graph paper to trace the lens, then read off X and Y and estimate Z as shown in the photos. When printed in clear PLA and with the star wars lenses the frame allows for the full FOV of the Pimax to be used without any frame being visible. Aviator style lenses would work well too. The frames only have 45 degree overhangs, so print with base plate supports only at 100% infill use the buildPart variable to print just a single frame so you can refine the fit for a lens, then use the instructions in the OpenSCAD file to make the supports fit the new shape.
