Pine A64+ Case - 21/3 Rev
thingiverse
I've successfully printed a test part, but certain features aren't quite working as expected. The holes for the IR and Audio Out are slightly off-target, so I'll be redesigning those areas to get them spot on. Additionally, I plan to thicken the grille since it kept sticking to the raft and breaking off during printing. I've also noticed that installing an SD card makes it a bit tricky to put the case on and take it off, so I'm adjusting the design to make it easier. The fan will need power routed in somehow, so I might add more ventilation holes at the top for better airflow. Print Settings: Printer Brand: MakerBot Printer: MakerBot Replicator 2 Rafts: Yes Supports: No Resolution: 0.3 Infill: 15% Notes: You can use whatever print settings work best for you - I started with a resolution of 0.3mm layers on the first prototype, but it stopped mid-print due to an under-powered fan. A replacement fan is on its way, and I've designed the bottom grille to fit a 40mm case fan. Design Process: I used Solidworks and my trusty 150mm ruler to figure out hole centres, heights (adding 0.5mm clearance each way), and drew it up from there.
