Experience the unparalleled luxury of inhaling the cool smooth vapors of your finest herbs from a beautifully robot-crafted water pipe. Shaped like everyone's favorite fruit, this pipe is like nothing else that has ever been created by humankind, before or since. The Pineapple Bubbler can be configured in a number of different ways, from a small, discreet piece to a big, long party pipe. The modular pieces can be printed in different colors, creating a smorgasbord of possibilities. I must point out that this is to be used with a glass bowl that you must provide. You obviously cannot smoke directly out of plastic or it would melt and create toxic fumes. I recommend printing the parts from one of the various food-grade 3D printing filaments now available. Supplies: There are just a few things you will need to assemble your bubbler: 1 #89 O-ring - http://www.amazon.com/Danco-O-Ring-Nitrile-Butadiene-Polybag/dp/B000RY9E3I/ref=sr_1_2?s=hi&ie=UTF8&qid=1457909607&sr=1-2&keywords=%2389+o+ring+danco 2 or more #17 O-ring - http://www.amazon.com/O-Ring-Nitrile-Butadiene-Rubber-Polybag/dp/B000UEX2WE/ref=sr_1_1?s=hi&ie=UTF8&qid=1457909673&sr=1-1&keywords=%2317+o+ring+danco Glass 14mm bowl - something like this http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00T9UY8W8?psc=1 Printed Parts (print in this order): 1 Pineapple "Bulb" This part must be waterproof. After much experimentation, we have found that a PLA part with 6 or more shells is sufficient to not leak, even after a few days. However, if accidentally left that way it will slowly start to take on water and develop a grungy appearance. To prevent this we are printing them more and more from PETG now. This will require somewhere in the neighborhood of 100 to 200 grams of plastic, and be an overnight to full day print. depending on your settings. We've found that lots of infill doesn't do as much for moisture resistance, but lots of shells does. In ABS, you could vapor bathe it to make it water tight. ymmv. You can get away with 2 or 3 shells if you only put ice in it and dump it when it starts to melt. That all being said, its best to avoid leaving water in them longer than necessary. You are also encouraged to decorate and waterproof your pineapple with paint, epoxy, nail polish, acrylic, or polyurethane. No supports needed. 1 Pineapple Stem This will require around 60 grams of plastic, and although it may not look like it will need it, use supports. It needs support for the underside of the lip, not for the leaves. It won't take much, but it will allow it to seat the o-ring so that it gets a really good seal with the bulb. Once the bulb and the stem are printed, the pineapple is useable, while you wait for the other parts to print. You just need a standard glass 14mm bowl. Cover the carb with your finger for now. The Bowl may be loose. This is by design, to allow for variations in the diameter. Wrap it with a few layers of tape to get a good seal and provide insulation in case the bowl ever gets too warm. 1 Mouthpiece Print one to go on the end of the stem. Optional Curved Mouthpiece - use this in place of the regular mouthpiece for more ergonomic pipes. Creates extra length so no stem extensions are required. 1 Carb Plug A plug for the carb, featuring the Everyday Pineapple logo. 1-? Stem Extensions Stem extensions add length to the stem, making it more ergonomic. You can use none at all, for a more compact device, or as many as you like, as long as you've got a friend who can reach the other end to light it. We've also provided a twisty stem piece, one surrounded by the Everyday Pineapple logo, and one surrounded by a leaf emblem that can be mixed and matched, or easily customized however you want. 0-2 Ash Catcher / Pre-Cooler This part is totally optional. It gives you an extra level of pre-filtration through water before the air enters the main chamber. It looks really cool, and can potentially be daisy chained two or three times if you wanna get really crazy. We recommend waterproofing this one as well. Early Adopters Be one of the first to try out the Pineapple! We are confident that this is already the best 3D printed water pipe that has ever existed, but we welcome all feedback. What do you like about the Pineapple? What could be better? How much would you pay for one of these? What about if it was customized with your name or logo? What added features would you like to see? Whatever you you do, please post pictures of your prints. It makes me the happiest pineapple in the world. How I Designed This Our team of Oompa Loompas utilized the pineapple design from the Microsoft store to create the main parts. We took the locking mechanism from the Pill Pill Bottle and modified it to accept an o-ring. We pulled the leaf emblem from Gatewood's keychain and used that to make the stem middle piece with leaves around it. These designs all use creative commons attribution licences. We designed everything else with Tinkercad and did some final detail work with Meshmixer. We have spent months here at Everyday Pineapple meticulously perfecting this design through many iterations. Testing each one and constantly improving upon it. I hope you enjoy it as much as we do. The bulb is designed with an integrated down tube with diffusion holes, as you can see here: Top down view of the bulb. This beautiful specimen is printed with woodfill The water pipe is modular, allowing for varying configurations. The parts connect tightly with a three way locking mechanism, which is kept water and air tight with rubber o-rings. Close up of the stem-to-bulb locking mechanism. Note the o-ring channel along the top edge. Close up of the stem-to-stem mechanism. You can see the groove for the o-ring along the bottom. FAQ FAQ Q: What is this?
