Pinewood Derby Wheel

Pinewood Derby Wheel

thingiverse

This is not an exact copy, nor is it legal to use non-BSA wheels for competition. This was "ceremonial" wheel we gave to the cubs instead of a participation ribbon. It will fit a car, and we encouraged the cubs to put it on their car after the race so in future years they would know when the car was built. You can see details about the car at http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:735561, and the driver at http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:726447. Instructions This was created with OpenScad. The script is provide so you can modify it. There is a plain wheel, and one with text added. I used Inkscape to create the circular text (you need to convert objects to path), and then used Tinkercad to join them (see https://tinkercad.com/things/iQb4edo033e).
