Print base with at least 4 perimeter, top and bottom layers, plus at least 40% fill. You will need one 3mm x 15mm machine bolt for the trigger release. The craft lace leather is a good option for the energy storage. However, kite string will also work but not as well. Thread the leather/string through the ratchets and wrap around the two pins 4 to 6 times. If you use more than 6 wraps then use two 3mm x 15mm machine bolts. Tie off the leather string and crank the two ratchets in the direction of the arm throw. The ratchets will click and prevent the wrap from unwinding. Use pliers to finish the ratcheting. Tighten until the ping pong ball flies 8-10 feet. Over tightening the wrap can cause the base to implode. Do not over tighten. https://youtu.be/TxMt6K7XEIY
