Pint Glass Propagation Pod

Pint Glass Propagation Pod

This propagation pod is an easy print and fits in a standard-shape pint glass (what you probably already have in your kitchen for water or beer). It can be used for propagating or growing plants that do well in hydroponic systems, like herbs. I have used it successfully for basil, oregano, spearmint, peppermint, and catmint. Spearmint and peppermint are my favorites because they grow fast and get super long, cool-looking root systems. **Steps:** - Print this propagation pod. - Get a decent-length cutting (from either your own plant, a friend's, or somewhere else...) - Remove all lower leaves (where new roots will sprout from) but keep some leaves at the top. - Place the cutting in the propagation pod in a pint glass with fresh water. - Change the water every couple days. *But trust me, it'll be okay if you forget. I'm a terrible gardener and my plants still grew.* Here's a more in-depth tutorial: https://www.wikihow.com/Grow-Basil-Cuttings **Tips:** - Add some Miracle Grow or other nutrients to the water to speed up growth. - To prevent algae, use a solid plastic cup or paint your glass so light doesn't get through.
