Pint Sized VAWT Impeller

This is a small scale (~200mm diameter) Vertical Axis Wind Turbine (VAWT) impeller. It is specifically designed to be 3D printed. I don't know what the cost of developing an efficient VAWT is, but at less than £10 print cost, it's now reasonable. I reckon this sort of size is about perfect for a back yard/garden as well because it's not too intrusive. I would hope that it would be capable of a few tens, maybe even a couple hundred, Watts. Just attach it to a motor spindle - it's designed for an M3 bolt/nut and a 6mm spindle - and see what the motor puts out. The intention is for it to be a starting point, and given the cost, trial and error experimentation won't break the bank. I think that's what 3D printing is all about...
