I attached a beach umbrella on my boat using these parts, which are made for a 7/16" shaft diameter. For the project, I chose to print at 100% fill with MakerBot Replicator. Although hardware store alternatives may be available, this was an opportunity to complete a "thing" project from start to finish. However, tapered screws led to some cracking; round head screws might have been more suitable.
