Pipette tip sorter (long neck tip design)

Pipette tip sorter (long neck tip design)

thingiverse

This is a pipette tip sorter inspired by the "Easylabsolutions" sorter. This device is designed to accept pipette tips where the contact point with the rails is lower down and there is a long 'neck' with ridges. These tips would get stuck in other rail designs. The rails are stiffened with a central arch in order to minimize tips being pushed through. The door hinges and is held in place with magnets. Rails are removable, so no need to print whole model again if you have to accommodate different tips. There is plate that inserts into the opening of the tips in order to make lining up with the box easier. The comb, door, plate and plate handle should be printed on their 'flats' with no support. The comb should be at 100% infill. The box should be printed upside down with supports only on the cutouts for the rail. The supports should be removed from the holes the comb inserts into. The rail should be printed with supports for the tabs that insert into the box only. You should remove the supports from the arches that the tips pass through and the holes that the comb insert into.
