Pirx Seven Matek Optical Flow Sensor Mount

Pirx Seven Matek Optical Flow Sensor Mount

I just received the fantastic Pirx Seven long-range drone frame from Armattan Productions and Pawel Spychalski. I wanted to implement the Matek Optical Flow (LIDAR) sensor on this frame, as it has a specific mounting area for it with appropriate screw holes and apertures for the two sensors on the board. When attempting to attach it with a set of 3x12 hex cap screws and 3mm nuts, I noticed that because of the components on the board, when snug against the frame it isn't able to lay flat. It ends up at an angle. To provide a comfy mount for the sensor that would keep it A. level with the frame and B. compatible with the existing screw holes and sensor apertures. I came up with this thing after a bunch of careful measurements and dozens of test prints. If you print in a stiff filament like PETG or PLA, the board will drop right into this mount and snap right in with a satisfying click! For the best protection of the sensor though, I'd suggest TPU instead.
