Pitot Tube Mini-Mount

Pitot Tube Mini-Mount

After printing several Pitot tube mounts and finding them all too big and obtrusive, I decided to go the minimalist approach and create one that will mount under the leading edge of the wing or on the side of the fuselage nose. It is a two piece print that will accomodate many of the all metal pitot tubes sold by most FPV suppliers. A drawing of the metal pitot tube I used for this is included for reference. To install, simply trace the outline of the mount base under the wing where the leading edge angle keeps the tube level (about 18mm back on my Mini Talon). Next, carve a shallow area inside the marks and glue the base in. Then use thin servo tape or rubber glue to mount the pitot tube in the tube mount and snap on the mount cover. Now you need to run the hoses slightly in-laid into the wing to where you want the sensor. I will use nylon antenna wire tubing for this.
