This is a case/sleeve for your Pixel 2 XL allowing you to mount any hot shoe accessory, for example an external microphone allowing you to use your phone for professional recordings such as for journalistic work and interviews or vlogging. Based on Screwyluie's Pixel 2 XL case. I took the bottom half off because it wouldn't fit my printer easily otherwise, but it's actually much better this way. It still clicks snugly into place - no risk of the phone falling out, but it's still easier to just slide it out for when you want to put it in your pocket or use a different case (this isn't intended to be left on all day due to the bulky hot shoe mount). The hot shoe itself is based on a design by ccvh with some modifications. It's quite sturdy and mounted to the case in a strengthened manner so that it feels stable even with the pretty large Rode VideoMic Pro. Accessories can be mounted backwards so this should be great for vlogging with great audio. Let me know if you have any feature request/improvement suggestions.
