Pixel Art Building Blocks

cults3d

This is a set of models which you can use to create any kind of pixel art you like Everything prints without supports and the pixels print without infill to save material and print time. That also makes it possible to light up the art from behind. The bevel on the top is so there aren’t inconsistent gaps caused by irregular first layer calibration and to accentuate the pixelated look. Simply print as many pixels as you want and join them with 3D printed clips. Mostly you’ll want side clips, but sometimes you might need a corner clip. Flip it over and you’re done. One hour of print time will make 17 pixel blocks. You can fit 72 pixels on a Prusa MK3 3D printer. SIZE At 100% scale, the cubes are 2 cm wide. You can make them smaller or bigger as you like, but you’ll have to scale the clips to be shorter (keeping the gap the same size) if you go below 13 mm cube size. The corner pieces will need scaling as well, you can try using the same percentage scale on them as the cube (they should go from edge to edge to stop it rotating.
