I tried to use sketchup to convert the Planetary Gear Calling Card into .stl files and failed. My better angels lost the battle for sanity and humility and I did a traceout of it with Blender. Because y'know, ~I~will~not~be~stopped~by~mere~tools~ and all that mad scientist rant stuff. I am a bit concerned about kerf, in that the MakerBot doesn't have it and as such all the gears might be slightly too large. If that happens one might be able to get away with just shrinking the planets. Here's the specs I fed the gear script, fyi: Planets: Teeth: 14 Radius: 7 Addendum: 1.0 Dedendum: 1.2 Pressure angle 30 Tooth width: 1.5 Sun: Teeth: 17 Radius: 8.5 Addendum: 1.0 Dedendum: 1.2 Pressure angle 30 Tooth width: 1.5 Ring: Teeth: 45 Radius: -22.5 Addendum: 1.0 Dedendum: 1.2 Pressure angle 30 Tooth width: 1.5 http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:390
