Plaster model of torso, showing partial dissection

myminifactory

These models, originating from the late 19th or early 20th century, were made by craftsman Franz Josef Steger (1845-1938) and anatomist Carl Ernst Bock (1809-1874) at the University of Leipzig in Germany. Models of this type were used all over Europe in anatomical teaching and could be ordered from a trade catalogue, demonstrating the commercialisation of anatomical model making.     *Although texture information is available for this model, MyMiniFactory doesn't support this just yet. Please get in touch to obtain the JPEG*
