Plastic nut and bolt for Battat take-apart toy

thingiverse

Plastic nut and bolt for Battat style take-apart toys. The bolt has a hex head with crosshead screwdriver slot, also lengthwise and widthwise anti-choking holes per the original. May need slight dimensional adjustments, depending on your printer. The hex bolt head and nut bodies aren't tapered like the originals, but they do have chamfered corners. Thread dimensions approx 9.5mm minor, 12.5mm major diameter, approx 4mm pitch. With judicious stretching these could probably be made to fit other take-apart toys. The nut has only a single turn of thread inside, making it more forgiving of mismatched pitch etc., however, the nut model in particular could be improved as the ends of the thread taper to a weak, delicate edge. (It's public on tinkercad, so can be edited as required.)[EDIT: Nut model has now been improved, see V2 file.] This thing was made with Tinkercad.
