Messing around with the tank and made this little mini lift. All I could think of was how cool this would be to use with Hot Wheels or Matchbox cars. Uses #4x1/4" and #4x3/8" sheet metal screws and #15 brad nails to put together. Platform is 2" x 2 7/8" and everything fits under it when lifted. Platform moves .300" (top of platform) to 2.200" fully lifted. Uses MG90S Tower Pro Servo. Has a servo adjuster to get the right gear mess. Quick build, but lots of filing and fitting. Have fun! Here is a video of it working https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aSNia01SjYs Instructions Arm and platform need support. Drill all of the #4 screw holes to .089-.093" for thread and .120" to go through part. For #15 brad nails cut to length with dikes and file any sharp edges on cut. Drill brad nail holes to .073" on the base and platform and .076" on the arms, so the arms turn on the nail. Clearances are close on brad nails under platform, cut as short as you can but still have a little to slide the nail out enough to grab with pliers to pull out. On the gear lift arm, file the shaft down smooth and round. Assemble arm caps with #4x3/8" screws and drill out base and caps to fit for gear lift arm. Mine needed drilled out with .182" bit for the lift arm to turn smooth. You can file down the ridge in hole to help snap the lift arm in base. The servo is adjustable so you can adjust how the gears match up. Took a couple gear prints to get a good gear and lift arm. You can time the gear it is a 12 tooth so every 3rd gear tooth is the same on the splines of servo. You can turn the gear to get the right throw of the arm and good teeth on the gear. Drill out the servo gear to .180" and push on the servo to cut splines in gear. The gear is really hard to push on and helps to push with servo on gear on a flat surface. File down the gear to fit so it doesn't hit arm if needed. You may need to file down the ends of the arms in platform or Dremel tool out the sockets in the platform for arms to fit. The more time you take fitting the better it will work. I had a couple 9 volt batteries on the lift so it is pretty powerful for its size. Lift goes from .3" to 2.2", top of platform. Platform is 2" x 2 7/8" on top. Mounts with two screw tabs in base and one in the thin part of base by arm.
