Description: - The primary configuration consists of: - A 'Base' that can be mounted horizontally (on a counter) or vertically (on a wall). - RJ45 Ethernet Port, 3 USB 3.0 Ports and a Power Input Port, at the back of the 'Base' unit. - Display with a 10" touch-screen, attached to the base through a support arm. - Camera at the top of the display. - Detachable Mag Strip Reader and an NFC/RFID Card Reader. - Details: - The display can rotate independently about he support arm - The support arm itself can be oriented in two positions; one for the horizontal use like on a counter/Table-top and the other for vertical use like on a wall. The support arm is locked in position (at either of the orientations) using slide-lock mechanism, with the slides at the bottom of the device. - The modular Peripherals can be inserted (slide into position) on the front of the 'Base'. Three different modules can be accommodated at the same time. - The speaker is also modular, allowing for insertion of a more optimized module consisting of a speaker and some other accessories like a receipt printer, Braille Keypad etc. - There is not keypad module by default since the touch-screen display will take care of all the keypad-related requirements. But, of needed a keypad module can also be inserted easily into position. - Design: - The Design has been made in such a way that even when the modules are removed, the core unit i.e. the 'Base' looks like a complete unit. - The entire unit (including the modules) have smooth curves and very good ergonomics. It is sleek, cool, elegant and has an artistic feel to it. - The design has been made so that the build is sturdy and, an ergonomic & esthetic look and feel are obtained by using the minimum most materials, hence reducing the cost of production. - The design has been optimized to have minimal foot-print, be it in a vertical position like on a wall OR the horizontal position like on a table-top/counter. - The foot-print of the design in horizontal position is !!! and that in the vertical position is !!!. Hope, the model meets the Design and functionality all the requirements. But there is always a scope for improvement. So, I would welcome any suggestions from the jury, co-contestants or the members of the GrabCAD community.
