The side with 4 knuckles on the hinge belongs to the top part of the easter egg pokeball and the bottom belongs to the 3knuckle part. Also you should always connect the back pin first, so it’s easier for you to assemble. You have to bend the middle part to fit all the pins together but the thin material allows that quite easily.
