Update 2020-12-23: I redesigned the pins to make them slimer on the inside. There was an issue with previous version preventing the shutting mechanism to reopen completely. Improved the bevel at the base of the 3 pins for better supportless printing. Added a registering notch to the tip & base for alignment purpose. This is a remix of my Pole Adapter for Squirrel Buster Plus bird feeder (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4691671) This one is for you if you have a smaller print bed. The maximum height is 133.5mm. Printing Support is required for the bottom part of the pins. NO NEED TO USE SUPPORT to the top of the pins and the base. Use a brim on both the pins and the base. I printed mine with 2mm walls and 30% cubic infill. Assembly The pins need a ¼-20 x 55mm long threaded rod. A M6 rod should do it but it will be a little loose. Begin by doing a “dry run” to make sure everything is OK. Then use 5 minutes Epoxy glue on both the holes and the threaded rods. There are slots and a gap to capture any glue squeeze-out. DO NOT USE cyanoacrylate glue: it is not good for “filling”. The hole’s diameter for the pole is 26.4mm. That’s 1mm more than a one-inch pole. This will give extra space for expansion if you use a wooden pole. Wood expand in the summer and contract in the winter. If you want to use wood screws, then use only one as it will permit wood movement. Do not underestimate wood movement…
