Pole-end holiday light hanger for gutter screen

<p>This print is a light hanger for hanging holiday lights on gutters that have gutter guard screens installed in them.</p> <p>I used to use gutter clips that allowed me to hang lights using a painters extension pole - allows you to put up lights without climbing ladders.</p> <p>But then, we had gutter screens installed to keep leaves out of the gutters - and my holiday light clips were no good any more because the screen blocks the gutter.</p> <p>This is the 3d printed solution to that problem.</p> <h3>Print instructions</h3><p>Print with supports on the bed if you get too much stringing.</p> <p>Once you have the print complete, there are four holes in each of the V shaped arms - these are for inserting size #18 wire brads - I am using 3/4 inch.</p> <p>Two of the holes slant towards the pole socket. Two of the holes slant away from the pole socket. Only use one pair of holes in each of the arms. I created with both orientations in case the fit on the gutter screen is better one way or the other. I recommend the holes that slant the nails away from the pole socket.</p> <p>The nail heads should be inside of the arms so the points are exposed to go through your gutter screen.</p> <p>To mount the light on the gutter, put the clip in your painter extension pole (screws in), clip your light's wire into the V that is opposite the gutter arms, and raise the pole and gently insert the nails into the gutter screen. Once the nails are resting inside of the screen, gently unscrew the painters pole - this will leave your light hung securely on your gutter.</p> <p>To remove after the season is over, reverse the process. Mostly you just have to knock the light clip loose and let it fall - but you could screw the pole back into the clip, and reverse the process so your lights lower to the ground gently.</p>
