This model was made using a Rigisters 3D model of the Wounded Amazon in the Ny Carlsberg Glyptotek (Copenhagen), Rome, 150 A.D., Marble. The discovery of a copy of this statue in Écija, Spain in 2002 with traces of polychromy still visible lead to comparative color testing of the Copenhagen, Ejica and Berlin examples. More Tracking Colour Project / Tracking Colour Report The full scale model juxtaposes the clothing as it is seen today with a proposed coloring from the tests of the Ecija example The two faces show different interpretations that can be made from vague language in color finding’s reports. Using the quotes in the annotations alone, how confidently can we re-color the past or trust models that claim to?
