Polyhedral Dice Box

Polyhedral Dice Box

thingiverse

A while back, I came across this hexagonal dice box - https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2754499 - and had to print one to try. However, one set of dice seemed so limiting, so I decided to make my own version to carry more dice with me! This dice box is designed to hold three seven-dice sets of polyhedral dice, though you can squeeze an extra d20 into each row if you arrange everything right. The box is designed to print on my Printrbot Simple Metal's 6"x6" bed and could be resized or redone to hold more dice. Also, the model should work well with most print settings, but you will need to use infill to support the interior surfaces. The holes are sized for magnets that are 5 mm in diameter and 1 mm thick, which you can easily find online. The first image is printed in Hatchbox wood filament, which I then sanded, stained with a gel-based stain, and sealed with spray polyurethane. I've posted three files - the box top and bottom, as well as a small template that fits inside the slots of the box. The template is perfect for tracing onto some self-adhesive felt or other material to cut out liners for inside the box. Thanks for checking out my design!
