Polypanel Tool

Polypanel Tool

This is not a polypanel itself, but rather a device used specifically for assembling or separating parts in a polypanel setup. The tool requires adjacent panels to be no more than 45 degrees apart to function effectively. To operate the device, locate the teeth that correspond to specific points on the panels. Instructions: To disassemble the panels, position the side with two teeth against the panel featuring two protrusions and insert the teeth into their designated slots. This will cause the tool to push the protrusions away from the adjacent panel. Next, place the single tooth against the panel with a single nub, ensuring it is seated correctly. Squeeze the handles of the device firmly until you hear a distinct clicking sound. In approximately 65% of cases, this action will completely separate the panels. However, in about 35% of instances, the tool may only partially disassemble the panels, leaving them connected at one point. In such situations, it should be relatively easy to manually pry the remaining connection apart. This device has been a valuable asset for me, but designing and understanding its operation initially presented some challenges.
