In LHD cars, in the passenger footwell on the left (tunnel) side is a carpeted cover held with 2 philips screws. I forget the OEM reason for this cover / cavity but it is a great place to hide stereo wiring mods / pull 12V from etc. This printed cover replaces that OEM cover and: - Mk2 has 3 cutouts for: 12V Outlet, Push Button, Headphone Socket - (Used when I had a AUX in box connected to the factory OEM stereo FM antenna) - Mk3 has 1 cutout for: 12V Outlet Dims: - Mk2 Cutout 1 = Internal Dia: 30mm, Outer Dia: 41mm, Depth to tunnel approx 30mm, then you have the depth of the actual cavity in the vehicle = depth for 12V outlet to sit into. - Mk2 Cutout 2 = Internal Dia: 9.5mm, Outer Dia: 15mm (used for Headphone Socket). - Mk2 Cutout 3 = Internal Dia: 16.5mm, Outer Dia: 22.5mm (used for illuminated PB). Dims: - Mk3 Cutout 1 = Internal Dia: 30mm, Outer Dia: 39mm, Depth to tunnel approx 50mm, then you have the depth of the actual cavity in the vehicle = depth for 12V outlet to sit into. Printer Settings: Printer brand: Ultimaker Printer: Ultimaker 2+ Slicer: Cura Rafts: No Supports: Yes Resolution: 0.2mm (0.6 nozzle) Infill: 50% Notes: Printed using T-Glase Post-Print: In order to blend with the OEM black carpet I flocked the surface with black fiber flocking. I was not expecting a great match but from a few feet away, it blends nicely. Install: The factory OEM cover, and this custom cover, need to be 'maneuvered' into place, it is not a 'straight in' movement. The width of the cover plate is larger than the opening because the cover plate flanges are designed to sit behind the carpet. Having done this maybe 20 times, there is a technique where you insert one end of the cover into the open footwell cavity then twist back towards yourself into place simultaneously pushing the two flanges behind the carpet. Not easy to describe, sorry, but it is possible without damaging the flocking fibres. OEM & Custom: The side flanges (with mounting holes) sit behind the OEM carpet - then install 2x OEM screws.
